Pumpkin Margarita Recipe for Fall

This pumpkin margarita recipe, courtesy of Crema Restaurante in NYC, blends the flavors of pumpkin, tequila and sesame to create a fun cocktail for fall.

What you need: Two ounces of Partida Reposado tequila, one ounce of fresh lime or lemon juice, a splash of pumpkin puree, sesame seeds, a lime wedge and a margarita glass.

What you do: Rim a cocktail glass with lime juice and sesame seeds. Mix ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a lime wedge. Garnish further with sesame seeds if desired. I think it would be a fun idea to mix regular and black sesame seeds as a garnish for this drink. The black and orange contrast nicely in appropriate Halloween colors and it brings a bit of diversity to the cocktail, as most people donít expect a two-tone rim decoration.

Pairing suggestions: This drink would pair well with a smoky black bean hummus to further extend the orange and black connection. Serve with organic tortilla chips. The fun thing about these pumpkin margaritas is that they are suitable for early October through Thanksgiving and even well into the winter.
