Winter Whites: 3 New Wines to Spruce up Your Holiday Menus

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, with Christmas and New Year’s Eve following right along behind. With poultry and fish being popular entrée choices, having a repertoire of whites in your cabinet is a good idea.

Three new whites from Soave, Italy might be just what the doctor ordered. All are between 10 and 20 dollars per bottle.

  • Soave DOC: A Clean, herby white that pairs well with risotto, fish and poultry.
  • Soave Classico DOC: A crisp fruity wine with a bit of zing. Works well with rich or sweet dishes.
  • Soave Spumante DOC: A sparkling white you can confidently pair with cheeses or seafood.

I recently had a chance to test drive these wines and consider them all workable for standard holiday poultry menus. Try them out for yourself to see if one of them will work for you next holiday dinner party.

Editor’s note / FCC Disclosure: We were provided with samples of these wines in order to properly review them.
