Vodka Slush

All this talk of heritage recipes reminded me of one my friend’s Mom used to make for special events. Vodka slush.
I did some research online. Here are a few links to recipes.
- Here’s one for a basic vodka slush. Personally, I’d at least double this recipe in order to have enough for a group.
- A slightly different but larger quantity recipe. Can be stored in the freezer in a large bucket. This is how my friend’s Mom did it. She never ran out through the holiday season.
- This recipe is for a five fruit vodka slush.
- A recipe for cranberry vodka slush in the freezer.
I’ll look for slush recipes involving other types of alcohol and post in a bit.
This is a great idea to do up ahead and store in the freezer. You’ll always be ready for an impromptu party or unexpected company. Since it never freezes completely (kind of like those margarita buckets you see in the store), it’s always ready to easily scoop out into a glass and add the appropriate flavored soda.
