This is one my mother used to make when I was growing up. Great for an open house, family and friends board game night, or a group of teens getting together for nachos.

1/2 cup chopped onion, 2tbsp margarine, 1 pound Mexican Velveeta, 1 jar of salsa.

Saute onions in margarine. Add remaining ingredients and stir until cheese melts. Serve hot with tortilla chips. This recipe is great to keep on low in a slow cooker.  For a variation, add a little browned ground beef.
