Recipe: Shrimp Soup Dip

This one calls for can of condensed soup, which I normally don’t use due to budget and salt concerns. However, I can’t seem to replicate the flavor on this recipe any other way, and overall, it’s still not outrageously expensive. Here goes:

1 can cream of shrimp soup, 1 pkg (8 ounces) softened cream cheese, 1 tsp lemon juice, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, dash of Worcestershire sauce.

Beat soup into cream cheese until smooth. Stir in remaining ingredients and serve as a dip with crackers or chips.  For a special occasion, I think the flavor of this dip is worth the additional cost of the prepared canned soup.
