Helpful Hints: School Spirit and Bake Sales

Wanting to go the extra distance for an elaborate bake sale or school event is one thing. Having the time to do so is quite another. I ran across this simple tip recently in a recipe magazine. A mother who was making cupcakes didn’t have the time to deal with custom logos and the like, but she did have the time to select a frosting color to coordinate with the school’s colors. If you have time to put an initial on top, great. Otherwise, frosting the treats in white and dying some coconut in the other color to dip them in could work. Maybe you’ll get extra lucky and the school’s color will match one of those popular decorating sugars that are on the market.
