Helpful Hints: Dealing With Hard Butter

Ran across this little tip while recipe questing at a friend’s home.  When you only need a small amount of butter and don’t have time to thaw or soften and entire stick, peel back the wrapper from the end a bit, and grate off the desired amount. Not only is this more convenient and economical, it’s also a great calorie control device as well.
