Graham cracker crust is a staple for most cream pies, and can be used for other baked goods as well. This is an easy and versatile recipe.
5 cups of graham cracker crumbs (can make your own from whole graham crackers), 1 cup sugar, 1 tsp ground cinnamon, 1 cup cold butter.
In a food processor or bowl, combine crumbs, sugar and cinnamon. Either pulse (in processor) or cut in butter until mixture begins to appear crumbly. You can store this in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 months. Will make approximately 4 pie crusts.
To make one crust, press about 1 3/4 cups mix onto the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate. Bake at 375 degrees for about 8-10 minutes until lightly browned. Chill for about a half hour before filling.
I was excited to find this recipe, as my husband LOVES graham cracker pie of nearly any sort. From Quick Cooking magazine.
